Discover the charming Vézelay! Here you will find the Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Originally the church of a Benedictine abbey linked to the Cluny reform movement, the basilica offers a stunning viewpoint over the surrounding villages. (www.basiliquedevezelay.org)

After visiting the basilica, take your time to stroll through this small village. You’ll find lovely antique shops, several wine cellars for tastings, and delightful restaurants.

Just 5 minutes from Vézelay, visit 'Les Fontaines Salées,' an archaeological site well worth exploring. This is where salt springs, used from the Neolithic era to the Middle Ages for salt production and bathing, originated. (www.saint-pere.fr)
